I set the alarm nice and early to be sure to call for Breakfast at Cinderella's this morning. The good news is we got ressies for 8:10!!! I'm so excited!!! Thanks to a previous thread I was sure to tell them we will have a wheelchair us. Now, I have a few questions on getting to MK so early. We are staying at the OKW and we will have a rent a car. I'm bringing my wheelchair with us so should we drive and take the TTC or do the buses run that early? Any suggestions?

Thanks!!!!
Christine

IMO....for at 8:10 am PS.....DRIVE!! :) that way you can make sure you're there in plenty of time :)

Thanks Wheelsie,

This is our first time to WDW. If we drive, how do we get into the Magic Kingdom from the Parking Lot? I'm a little nervous because we'll have my wheelchair with us and our PS is so early. But, I woundn't miss the look on my dd's 5 year old face for the world!!! She's a Disney Princess Freak!!! LOL!!!

Thanks for your help!!
Christine

You wheel from the parking lot to the monorail. The ramp is very steep to the monorail. The buses usually run about an hour before the park opens so you should be ok if you choose to take the bus. Don't worry about being late, we had an early PS but still had to wait about 15 minutes before we were called to go upstairs.

It has been suggested we take a cab from Old Key West to MK that day. We have a party of 6 with a wheelchair. Who would we call to arrange this? Since this is our first trip, what time should we tell the driver (s) to pick us up? Sorry for all the questions, it's helping relieve my anxiety over this!!! :D

I would NOT recommend a taxicab. They can only take you to the TTC. Also, what DAY of the week is it. If it is a Magic Kingdom Early Entry Day (Monday, Thursday, or Saturday) the Magic Kingdom Opens at 7:30 and the buses are earlier. If you talk to Guest Services at OKW and explain the situation they might be able to provide a Disney van at no charge, which would take you to the bus area at MK, which is at the entrance. Remember one thing: It does not hurt to ask; the worst that will happen is they will say no (but Disney people are trained to say yes whenever possible.

Unfortunately, it's not an early entry day. I really didn't think this would be a problem. Yikes!!
    We're going to get to Cindy's for that 8:10 P.S. if it's the last thing I do!!! LOL!!! Has anyone else done this or have any suggestions?

I really appreciate everyone's input.

You might try calling WDW RESORTS/SPECIAL RESERVATIONS
(407) 939-7807 [voice]
(407) 939-7670 [TTY].
If they can't help you, they would probably be able to give you a transportation phone number. I know they have wheelchair vans and small buses because the transportation dispatcher called one for us once when 2 buses in a row had lift probelm.
