looking to eat at a resort with our family who will be travelling up for the evening. They don't want fancy just super yummy with a nice atmosphere. Any resorts have awesome burgers? We are looking for yummy and casual. No park tickets required...
Adults and Kids in the mix

Thanks

Beaches and Cream at the Beach Club has awesome burgers!

You might want to try the Big River Grill at Boardwalk. No admission to the Boardwalk area, plenty to do at night. ESPN is also right there and if the kids like sports they will love it. The Boardwalk also has strolling acts, arcade games and surrys to rent.
If you would like you could also go to the Crews Cup Lounge next to the Yachtsman Steak House. They have a great burger in a nice lounge atmosphere. After dinner you could walk around the Boardwalk area.

Another suggestion would be Boatwrights at Port Orleans Riverside. It's plain food but good and they have a lounge next door that features a great entertainer, Bob Jackson. It is very Disney Like entertainment. POR is easy to get to if you have a car, difficult if your using Disney Transportation from another resort (there is no resort to resort transportation).

I would vote for Beaches and Cream except the place is quite small and you can't make ADRs.

Spoodles doesn't have a buger, but has very good food, great service and atmosphere and is on the Boardwalk. Big River Grill would be a good choice. I do like their burger, but the atmosphere is rather boring unless you sit outside on the Boardwalk.

Grand Floridian Cafe makes a very good burger as well as other items. The hotel is such a beautiful place to visit. The Cafe is so pretty, but is considered the "casual" restaurant at GF.

ESPN. Very casual, big place, large menu and you can enjoy the Boardwalk atmosphere.

Where is Beaches and Cream? How do I get there? Would the Kitchen Sink really feed 8 people?

Beaches and Cream is at the Beach Club Resort - walking distance from Epcot's world showcase. The kitchen sink, I believe, is a huge ice cream sundae that looks like it would feed a dozen people. Personally, I'm not a big eater, so it looks gross to me. It's casual, but when we've gotten their burgers in the past, they were a bit greasy. It is, however, a good place, as everyone can get what they want, then you can stroll the boardwalk area, which is very pleasant.

I would suggest think rather than burgers a dining experience. Try Boma in AKL. There is "normal" food available for the really faint of heart, but for the adventurous there is a wide variety of foods that are cooked very well, what people are not used to, and very good.

Any you can stay for hours, they will not pressure you to leave while B&C is very small and getting seats for a large group is impossible.

As a side note, AKL has the second largest collection of African Art in the United States (after the Smithsonian Institution) and you can freely wander in the hotel and around the grounds.

None of the above can beat the burgers at Olivia's at OKW. My dad drools all year long waiting for them!

Beaches and Cream is really small. Two or three booths and ten or so ice cream shop size tables. It is also usually noisy.

Grand Floridian Cafe and Kona both are lowkey and serve great food including burgers for the kids. In the Boardwalk area I would try Yacht Club Galley or Spoodles(if you can give up the burgers).

Beaches and Cream is very small, food is great though! There were five of us and we were cramped at our small small table. Although we would do it all over again just to experience the KITCHEN SINK. It is a MUST DO in our books! We have been going to WDW for years and somehow never made it to Beaches and Cream til this year, what a hoot! The kitchen sink fed all five of us...my kids are 20, 17 and 13, and we had quite a bit left over. I didn 't feel like we had wasted it though, it was worth every penny and a load of fun trying to eat it!
Just don't plan on anything to eat the rest of the day... :cheer2:
