I went on an enjoyable ride in 1994 at epcot and the only bit I can remember is a section at the end where you could choose one of 3 scenarios and the screen flipped showing your choice?

Any help?

I believe that was Horizons, which is no longer open. But I could be wrong.

Yes, it was HORIZONS. And that attraction was leveled in order to use its location to construct MISSION: SPACE.

There are more than a few DISers here that would take offense to you refering to HORIZONS as "cheezy."

;)

Ahhh Horizons. One of the best "Old School" EPCOT rides. It wasn't cheezy at all, and oh how so many of us miss the attraction.

I miss Horizons, too. I didn't think it was cheezy at all.

Who mentioned it was cheesy!!!! :rolleyes1

Just kidding - edited as I had no idea it was so fondly regarded.

Off to youtube to see if I can find a video of it......

Mmmmmmmm, cheeeeese.

Thanks, Bob...didn't realize how much I missed it until I saw it again.

That is an EXCELLENT link! I'm still viewing it in another open window. It's nice to see old rides/attractions that I had once gone on and through. Now I have something to show my DH this weekend since I didn't take pictures of a lot of these back in 93. He can finally see what the parks looked like back then!

The only thing I remember about Horizons is your ride turning sideways and you pic a clip...Space, Desert or Ocean, or something like that. I don't even remember the World of Motion. (course I went when I was 5 & 6, so go figure)

A moment of silence...for the dearly departed...

Dh is gonna love this! He mourns the loss of Horizons every trip we take--I was able to grace this much beloved ride once before it was demo'd--glad I had the opportunity. Thanks again for finding this gem :goodvibes

I never rode that. My first trip to epcot was like 98/99. Too bad.

Im going first week in Dec...showed my kids ( 7 and 4) movies of past trips and had the entire Horizons ride on tape...they both asked to go on if first off in Epcot, but had to tell them its gone...wish they could have experienced it first hand!!!!!! Miss the smell of the oranges!! hehe

A memory can play tricks on you.

Horizons' vehicles didn't "turn sideways" for picking a clip.
They ALWAYS faced "sideways."
It is one of the few "Omnimover Vehicle" attractions (Haunted Mansion, Buzz Lightyear, Space Ship Earth, Journey Into Imagination) that did not turn the vehicles, so the view of the scenes was always from the the same side and angle.

Those links make me miss it even more, i always thought the smell of those oranges was SO cool!
Also world of mothion was a good one...i wish they didn't get rid of those rides :sad2:
