need help from mom with daughters who went to biddidii or wear disney dresses

Hi!! We will be at the biddiddi at magic in a week and a half, I saw a jasmine dress on ebay that is from the disney parks in a size 6. My dd is 8 and about 50 inches tall and 54 pounds, will the 6 fit? or should i get a 7/8 not much time at all so please if u know respond asap thanks!!!!!

Sounds a bit small to me. My daughter is 6 and a half and 48 inches. She is of average weight and wears a size 7/8 now. She can still get away with her size 6x clothing from last year, but both shirts and pants are a bit too short.

Thanks for the reply i have 2 dd's , one is 5 and one is 8, the 8 year old is a little taller but they r not too far off in size...I get asked if they r twins...lol so my 8 yr old is smaller than usual....i know some disney costumes run big so I am so unsure, usually pants that r 7/8 are too big on her unless there is adjustable wasit, she has a washboard stomach, wish I did too !

Well then, maybe it will fit. Is it a two piece Jasmine dress? Because if it is, you would probably want it to fit a bit snug on the top anyways.

When in doubt, bump up a size. It has been our experience that Disney dresses, both from the parks and from the Disney store, run a little on the small side.

What about your younger daughter? Could your 5 year old wear it if it doesn't fit your 8 year old? Or is she a fan of another princess?

I think the dresses run small. Shoes, tiaras, are extra. Although they gave us a tiara with the package we got.

My daughter turned 6 in the spring and is 44 inches tall and weighs 40 pounds. I bought her a Disney store princess dress for her BBB appointment in September and I bought her a 6 and it fits well. I think the size 6 on ebay will be too small for your daughter.

My 6yr old is roughly 46in tall and 50lbs+ and the size 6 snow white dress fits great. I've found the 2 piece outfits fit a bit bigger than the dresses - my 5 yr old is stockier and the dresses fit her better than her older sister - the exception being aurora - the sleeping beauty dress fits odd with narrow sleeves but a wide chest.

For playing in the parks I'd stick with the smaller size - if she wants the dragging on the floor length, then go with the bigger.

well i ended up buying the 6 so we will see....worst case scenario is I will resel lif it doesnt fit and buy at the park but she is pretty small...she is the same size as a average 6.5 yr old so I'm thinking it should be fine

Cute story along the same line of this thread. Last year we were at Disney with my sisters family. My five year old niece wanted to wear a princess dress one day, but my sister hadn't really thought about it beforehand. So they ran to Walmart and brought her a Cinderella dress that had a button which made parts of the beads light up. It was like $15.

So we are at the parade later that evening and my niece is standing next to about five other little girls all in their princess gear. One little girl said something to her mom that she didn't like Cinderella while looking right at my niece. Without saying a word, my niece hits her little button and her dress lights up. All the little girls start oohing and aahing and asking their mommy if their dress could do that. The other little girl just glared at her. It was hysterical. Even her mom was cracking up. All these little kids had cheap dress envy.
