Need help from any UK dis friends out there

Hi, I have OT question if anyone out there could answer it for me. My step-father was born in germany and is needing to obtain his birthrecords. The have asked him to transfer like 8.00 in euros. We are having trouble figuring out how to do this. The info came in a letter, of course in German which he can read, however my mom, the savy one, cannot read the letter. They have tried the bank and western union, but no luck. Any suggestions out there? He provided a credit card number on his origional request, but now he says the letter is telling him to send these additional funds. Have any of you ever transferred/wired/money. Also is it possible to get a money order and overnightor 2-3 day it or something like that. The dis is full of wonderful people so I thought I would just ask. TIA for any reply or help.

All I can suggest is an international money transfer, you will need the bank details of where the transfer is going to go, the bank should be able to do that I know in the UK all the bank can do this for a fee.

Another way maybe is through PalPal?

I hope that you can work everything out. The suggestions offered by the pp, are very good ones, and I am in agreement. Pay pal, for example one can send funds to the U.K. and from there as well. I know that I have done so to England, from America. I do not see why it should be a problem to do so for Germany.
