Need Help from a wedding pro

I have an issue. I am looking to have a wedding with 15 adult guests and 5 kids (4 under age 3). Unfortunately, my immediate family is big and we can't cut anyone else. It seems silly to have a normal recepton, yet the number of guests forces me to have a custom wedding. In addition, we are on a budget. Does anyone know if I could book a custom, but do it like an initmate? Maybe we could book a dinner in a private room at a restaurant and skip the Dj and decorations. Has anyone done this? Can it be done? Are there private rooms that seat 20 people? Help Help Help

I think Disney will let you do just about anything. Have you talked to them yet?

We are having approx 35 people at our wedding and then we are having a big reception back home (200 people), so we didn't want anything too expensive in Florida either. We are basically having a nice sit down dinner w/ no dancing. We are having a harpist just to set the mood.

I'm sure they could set you up in a smaller room or even a restaurant like you mentioned.

If you book a custom, you can have whatever you want, but you will still have to meet thier minimium expenditures, so it may end up if you go no frills with just 20 guests that you won't spend enough to fulfill your contract.

The best thing you could do is call Disney adn ask for an SM to call you back and explain the pricing guidelines and what options you may have for your guests.

Also, they are testing out a new package, called an Intimate PLUS, that allows for more guests, I think, and a dinner afterwards. Give Disney a call and specifically ask about this when you get the call back from the Sales Manager.

Not sure what your budget is for your wedding, but for custom, it starts at a minimum requirement of $7500. An Intimate starts at $3500 and up depending on what you want and where you stay.
To answer your question though about having a custom, but doing it the way of an Intimate, that will not be problem. With a custom you have many choices, you can go all out or do something really simple.

From what I have read this new Intimate plus allows you to have 20 people attend your wedding but that includes you and the groom.

I am having an Initimate and there will be 19 in attendance and that includes me and my fiance. I spoke with my EM and she said not a problem.

My suggestion is, if you are trying to stay below $7500 I would go ahead and book your wedding as an Intimate. Once you have your EM, talk to her about it, especially where you have children attending. Your EM will either tell you not a problem or you will have to upgrade to a custom.
