Need help for Sept trip!

Our family (me, DH, DS4 & DS8) is going to Disney Sept 24th (Friday) arriving in the evening. We have 6 full days and getting a 4 day hopper. Here's my question: What days are best for visiting which park? I thought we'd do MK on Saturday but someone said that was a mistake. I thought Sat would be a travel day. What do I do?

I was thinking 4 days in the park, 2 down days (Vistana Resort) or should one down day be Sea World? I would appreciate help from you veterans of Disney. Thanks!!

Saturday is often the most crowded at MK due to local residents visiting the parks. Also, often in the fall the evening fireworks and the parades run sporadically during the week but almost always run on Saturdays so people go that day to catch those events. Many people end up traveling on Sunday.

I've heard EPCOT can be crowded during the weekdays as schools have field trips here during the week. But I don't think it would cause that much overcrowding.

First of all, I suggest taking a deep breath...remember that you are on vacation
Also, if you ckeck out www.allearsnet.com you will find an entire section devoted to which days are best at different parks...that should help a lot. Typically, the Magic Kingdom is most crowded on the weekends, but the time that you will be there shouldn't be overly crowded. I don't think you'll have really long waits for any of the rides.
I've never been to the Sea World in Orlando, but there is a lot of information out there on what days are best to go, you'll just need to search a bit.
I think you'll have a great time, especially since you picked a not-so-crowded time to go. You may find that just figuring out your plan as you go is also fun, especially with younger kids.
