We'll be staying in a studio at SSR for our first DVC trip (in less than three weeks), and we're definitely not ready. I have some questions that I was hoping I could get some help with...

1) What can you fit inside a studio fridge?
2) Is there anything I should bring with me that I wouldn't normally bring on a WDW trip, staying in a regular hotel? (i.e. extra t.p., towels, etc.)
3) Do the studio balconies have chairs on them?
4) Is the pull out couch worth sleeping on, or should we share the bed?
5) Can you really walk to DTD?
6) Where should I request a room?
7) Can we still charge to our room keys?
8) Is there a freezer in the studio fridge (if so, how big?)

Thanks in advance for any answers...I'm sure my overly-inquisitive mind will think of more, but this is it for now.

Hi! Hope I can help you out. We had three studios last June/July and kept our fridges full. How many are going on your trip??

1. The inside of the door has two shelves to hold drinks. The top one I kept the kids juice boxes as it was not very tall. The lower one I kept probably five or six bottles of water, just refill when we would take one out.
We were able to keep a small carton of milk in the fridge, bag of salad, bag of carrots, pint of cherry tomatoes, container of veggie dip (like Maries), several ziploc bags of deli meats and cheeses, four drinkable yogurts, and at one point I picked up sushi from goodings and kept it in as well. The freezer portion was kept full also, I just don't recall what we had in it. I was shocked at how much we were able to keep.

2. We take beach towels for the pool, not really necessary as they do have pool towels, we just prefer our own bigger towels. I also bring a couple of pillows.

3. Balconies have two chairs and I believe a small side table.

4. The pull out couch is surprisingly comfy. My kids, 11 and 5, slept on ours. In my parents studio my two grown brothers shared the pull out and everyone was comfy. There is no middle bar to poke you in the back!

5. Yes you can walk to DTD, although we did not. We took the ferry or drove, but on future trips I think we will try walking.

6. Not sure about room requests. We were in Congress Park area, which was nice but I think the Springs has its advantages too.

7. Yes you can charge to your room keys. Just request it at check in.

8. The freezer is big enough for a few microwave meals.

1. The fridge is an under the counter type. The door can hold taller things, ie. wine bottle, large soda bottle etc. The rest can hold a six pack of cans.
2.No need to bring towels. They are provided at the pool. I bring laundry detergent because the laundry is free (by the pool) We pack light.
3. yes there are chairs
4. Haven't ried the pullout couch.
5. The walk to DTD is between 5 to 10 mins..
6. e had DTD view. It was very beautiful! If you prefer to be closer to the pool, restaurant, the Springs is nice.
7. Yes you can charge on the key.
8. The freezer is small. The size of a shoe box.(maybe)

Have fun!

Thank you both so much! Your answered everything perfectly and have given me some peace of mind....Thanks!
