We are staying two nights off site to go to the Space Center and to see the beach.

I found a rate of $28.99 at Days Inn but they have a $25.00 processing fee that you have to pay if you cancel.

Is this the only way to get a great rate like that? Is there another way to get the cheap rates?

Thanks!

Just a suggestion: Most of the Days Inns in Florida get bad reviews

I'd be very careful selecting those cheap sites as well. You not only get your money's worth, you expose yourself to danger as their room keys are often the same for several rooms in your floor.

Check out the Orlando and Area attractions board. We have a few threads about Magic Castle.

It's www.magicorlando.com

We stayed in a King size suite that had a free breakfast and fridge and microwave.

It was clean and close to the park. Perfect for a REAL BUDGET trip.

We stayed at Days Inn Lake Buena Vista and it was pretty awful. I am not real picky about hotels, as long as they're clean, but I would never go back there again.

We've also stayed at Howard Johnson Maingate East and it was great. Cheap, clean and just a nice place to stay. I'd recommend it.

Thanks for the advice. I do remember reading now about how bad the Days Inns are.

I saw one on Mousesavers that seemed a good deal, the Hotel Royal Plaza.

Has anone stayed there?

Disnee Dad Says...............................Hotel Royal Plaza is ok, but see if Courtyard by Marriot is doing one of their specials. We got a room for $20 in 2001, and thought it was a total fluke because of 9/11, but I saw them doing a $25 dollar deal last year. This is a pretty nice place, it will kill any Days Inn anywhere in the world. Indoor corridors, that's worth a star right there! Laundry on evry other floor. Nice breakfast buffet for about $6.95. Even has a small bar, to watch a game and have a couple. The price was so low I had to book it, thinking how bad can it be at a hotel on Hotel Circle. And I was right, you can't get a bad hotel on Hotel Circle. And the Grovsner is very nice, I think I saw a $59 deal for them. Stayed there 1997. Jolly good place, great to meet brits, and knock down a few pints!
