Need help figuring out a date!

We picked a tentative date! It will be 11/25-12/2... all dependant on SW's airfare specials (usually, midweek and then sat) and we will adjust dates accordingly. I talked to hubby and he would love for the kids to see it all done up for Christmas. Plus, he said he would rather have a nicer resort closer to the parks in case he wants to head back and we want to stay, easier to take the monorail or boat back instead of the busses. We are looking at WL or the Poly, probably WL since its cheaper. Hoping for some kind of discount. I am booking room only with AAA if I can for now. We will just pay for dining ourselves or will switch to a package if a special comes out. Hubby said as long as the pools are heated, thats all he needs Plus, I think waiting until then I can save enough $ to maybe stay 8 or 9 nights instead of 7

I appreciate EVERYONES input, it really helped! Staying offsite so much, I really wanted to make this vacation more special for everyone!

Just cancelled the dining package for August and asked about room only for November and if I could make payments on it so that I didnt have to worry about it when I get there.. he said yes, no problem. Is that correct?

If you book your package with Disney directly you will need to put down a 200.0 deposit (within 2 weeks) then you can make payments up until 45 days out from check-in. They will give you your pay in full date. I love booking my trip this way.
Then to answer your free DDP question, yes if you have a room booked 9/22 you can get the free dining for the length of your package. We had our ressies for 9/23-9/28 and I called and added 9/22 and got the free dining.
