I am working on budget to hell us decide which week/ month to go, right now looking at 7 different times but it seems it's too early to get a price from jet blue, and when I search expedia it is very expensive.

Does anyone know the best way to estimate flight costs? We are coming from NYC and need a nonstop at this point. Last time we had free tickets :)

Our first date is 10-30 which jet blue should publish necpxt week but I have a feeling it will drop closer to the date. Our original trip was this May and it was with tax 260 per person I am hoping it might be similar.

Look at what the prices are now for legacy airlines. It's unlikely JetBlue will release prices which are much lower. Airline ticket prices usually do not drop closer to departure date; just the opposite.

I read somewhere the best price is about 8 weeks out? And that prices go up on Wednesdays idk how true

That is on AVERAGE, meaning it might actually cost you MORE to wait until 8 weeks out.

Using https://matrix.itasoftware.com and searching JFK, LGA, and TET, I see $239pp if you can leave by 10/17, $254pp for the week of 10/19, then $270pp for anything after 10/26 (weekends are all slightly higher).

Personally, based on those numbers, I would probably budget $275pp.
