Need help, disney dollars, how and when to use?

I am honeymooning on the Wonder, 23-27.
If someone gives me disney dollars, can I use them in the parks and on the cruise line. Is it something I can give to the guest services to apply as a credit on my KTTW card?

Anyone else going on that cruise, I am hoping to get some pixie dust to grant me a upgrade?

Also can someone clarify for me, is there a pick up at the animal kingdom the day we leave, and what is the latest time we can be picked up there? I am trying to do some things in that park before we get on the ship.

You can use them at the park and on the cruise. In the park just use as cash, on the cruise give to guest services to put on your KTTW card, or go down and pay off the KTTW card with them, using as cash. Not sure about the pick up at Animal Kingdom...

I don't know for sure, but I'm almost positive there is a pickup at AK as I saw a bunch of DCL cruisers there with buses and signs when I went around X-mas time.

I was told by my travel agent that there is an Animal Kingdom pickup at 12:30 pm. I will be going there the day of cruise from Polynesian, in the morning, and was told that you could leave carry on bags at special cruise security desk at park entrance. My TA told me that this special pickup from AK for cruise, is something I have to register for when I arrive in Disney, and also that they will automatically give me some fast passes for some of the major attractions.
