Vacation, in my humble opinion, please pick the Deluxe Resort that you really want to stay in and keep the concierge experience out of the equation. If you decide that you have two resorts that your heart desires, then by all means bring the concierge experience into the equation, but only if you plan on spending a lot of time in your resort. If you will be spending most of your time outside of your resort, continue to keep the concierge experience out of the equation.
I say all this because you can honestly have an incredible vacation without being a concierge guest (I have done so many times). And you can have a so-so vacation if you are stuck in a resort that you really didn't want to stay in (there is nothing worse than lusting after the resort that you really should have booked in the first place).
Now that I've said all that mumble-jumble (!!), my favorite Deluxe Resorts are the Grand Floridian and the Animal Kingdom Lodge. When I pick a resort for my family's vacation, I do so based upon the vacation experience that I want us to have.
If we will be spending a lot of time in our resort and want to feel like we're a million miles away from home, we select the Animal Kingdom Lodge. That resort is different than any other resort that we have stayed in. We truly feel like we're in another place and time when we're there. Plus, their concierge service has been wonderful each time we've used it.
If we will be spending a lot of time in our resort and want to be near the Magic Kingdom, we select the Grand Floridian Resort. That was the first resort (and Disney concierge) that we experienced. It holds many wonderful memories for us. We juggled around our last resort-hopping schedule in order to stay there for our 20th wedding anniversary last Fall. We adore the Grand and its staff. It truly feels like home to us.
No matter where you stay, I hope you and your daughter have a wonderful vacation.
