I need some help picking a table service restaurant for lunch. The way I have our reservations for dining is one table service a day for either lunch or dinner. The day I am looking for is the day we will be spending time at AK. I am not thrilled at any choices in AK so am looking to go elsewhere, to a nearby resort that we have yet to visit would be awesome but I really do not what's good. It would be for 6 of us; me, the hubby and our 4 kids ages 22, 22, 20 and 2. Later that night, my husband and I are lucky enough to have a date night which we are going to Flying Fish together.

Any ideas?

Getting to the 'nearby resort' may be easy from AKingdom, but then getting from that Resort back to your own may take two forms of transportation.

Regardless, Sanaa at lunch (because you can see the animals on the Savannah) is a good lunch option....but similar flavor profile to Tiffins and Tusker House (both inside AKingdom).

Otherwise, Disney Springs has a laundry list of options.

A little confused b/c you mention one TS per day and FF, where you are dining that night, is not only TS but signature. I'd consider CS at AK and consider either FT BBQ or Harambe. If you really did mean to convey that you wanted a TS meal, I'd go with Yak and Yeti (not the CS option but the TS one). They have very good Americanized Chinese food.

The only resort particularly close to AK is AKV. Your lunch option there for TS is Sanaa. Unless you want two Signatures in a day, in which case Tiffins is an option.

If the goal is to tour AK, have lunch and then continue to tour AK, going to far afield is going to take a lot of time out of your park hours. We just ate at Yak & Yeti this past Monday and the food and service were very good. The closest resort is AKL and, as PP mentioned, Sanaa is your only TS choice there. It's really good, but if you don't like the cuisine choices at AK, Sanaa may not appeal either. Disney Springs has a ton of options, but, again, it's going to take a lot of time out of your day to get there.

Sanaa is very good! I split the bread service w/all the dips & a bowl of split pea soup & both were amazing! Ask for a table by the window to see the animals. I haven't tried it, but they have a burger on the lunch menu that I've read good things about.

In the park both Yak and Yeti and Tiffins are quite good. You may also want to consider doing a late breakfast at Tusker House, which is also a good option. If none of those appeal to you and you're up for leaving the park, AKL is right around the corner and Sanaa is one of the best non-signatures in WDW
