Need help changing resorts

We have a room booked at CSR through UT which we have already linked on MDE. We are thinking of changing resorts by canceling the CSR with UT and then booking through DVC points. How do we do this? How does this effect the linkage on MDE?

I would book the DVC room first as you might not get a DVC room depending on time frame and dates.

Once you have booked either with an individual owner or someplace like Dave's they will send you a confirmation email (they should forward you the email Disney sends). Just go to MDE and link the reservation. You will just need the number and the last name. You should have not problems linking that number and it will appear in your MDE account. The only difference is you won't be able to modify it yourself like if you booked directly via Disney.

Then just cancel your other reservation. It will "drop off" from MDE within 24 hours. If you have dinning ADR's they won't be effected. The only thing that might become an issue is if you are with the FP+ 60 day window.
