Need help! BC or YC?

Okay last year was our first trip to wdw as a family and we stayed at OKW and had a great time.This year I want to do something a little grander. Here's the crew me,dh,dd 9,ds 4,ds 2.Which resort would you recommend and why? I know both resorts have access to stormalong bay,but is one resort rooms better set for a family of 5? Is one resort more kid friendly? Please share your experiences.Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks!

The rooms are going to be the same size. IMO, I think the Beach Club theme is a little more kid friendly than the Yacht Club theme which seems a bit more "grown up." The Beach Club is also a closer walk to Epcot, and it has the character meal and kid-friendly Cape May Cafe as its restaurant, whereas the YC has the more "adult" Yachstmen Steakhouse. But other than those distinctions, I don't think it makes a big difference between the two, because they are essentially the same resort and same location.

If you have a family of 5, I would recommend trying to rent DVC points and stay at the BC villas in a 2 bedroom rather than trying to cram 5 people into a YC or BC room.

This could be answered a number of ways

I've stayed at YC and BCV, but not BC. From what I know, BC is definitely more kid friendly and a bit more laid back...beachy However, as grand as I thought the YC was, I didn't think that it was too stuffy or anything like that.

I do have to agree that you should look into getting a 2BR at the BCV for your party. It could end up being around the same amount and you'd have more space!! Separate bedrooms, kitchen, living space, etc. We tried out the 2BR last year and it was really nice!!
