Good morning,
I know I asked something about this a while ago, but I am unable to find that thread (if someone can tell me how to find the threads I created, I would be very appreciative!!).
Our window for making dining reservations is quickly approaching. I think I know what we want to do for all parks except Epcot. I was interested in trying for an 8AM reservation to get a bit of a heads start to either Soar'n or Frozen. I don't care which as we will FP the other one. So, knowing that is my intent, would you suggest Akershus or Garden Grill? While we will enjoy meeting characters, we don't have any favorites other than Mickey Mouse, so the characters at each location are not really a factor (for what it's worth, my kids will be 14 (my daughter) and 13 (my twin boys), then my husband and myself). We aren't real picky breakfast eaters as we normally eat a fairly light breakfast.
I think the biggest factor is which restaurant will give us the best shot at getting in line at the ride before the crowds hit. Anything other than that will be a bonus.
Thanks!

Garden grill is located right by Soarin. You could eat, ride Soarin then Fast Pass Test Track.

I would book a Garden Grill pre-park opening breakfast so you can ride Soarin' at rope drop. I would FP+ Frozen Ever After. Garden Grill is cheaper than Akershus and the food is fine at both. Since characters aren't your focus, I wouldn't spend more just to see the princesses, plus, if Mickey is your favorite, you'll get to see him at Garden Grill.

We had a GG PPO (me DH DS11 DS15) in April - everyone enjoyed. Everyone ate their fill (huge bowl of fantastic fresh fruit, yummy cinnamon rolls, plenty for my breakfast meat loving 11 year old....) and the character interaction was fun. Attentive service and we paid during the meal so as not to be delayed after eating. We walked right on to Soarin' after. It was great and enabled us to FP test track.

We had a good experience doing Garden Grill and going right to Soarin.

Bases on the food, characters and access to Soarin I would go with GG.

I would suggest Garden Grill.. I dont think the teens will enjoy the princess breakfast.. plus you get to see Mickey!! And it is all you can eat!!!!! You will be right next to Soarin.. then you can do Frozen later on when you will be in World Showcase!

Another vote for Garden Grill. It's right next to Soarin' and Living with the Land. Plus you get to see Farmer Mickey!
