Trying to put an itinerary together for our trip this June 18-25. This is our first trip as a family of 5, first plane trip for 2 of our kids and since we're going to be w/in-laws - our first trip with extended family too. So needless to say, I'm a bit stressed. I'm hoping all goes smooth - but also smart enough to know it won't! However, if we have a game plan, then maybe it'll go smoother than just showing up and "winging it".

Traveling will be myself, DH, our 9 yo, 4 yo and 19 mo (along with DH's parents, his sister, her DH and their boys - 7,5). We'll all be staying offsite 4 miles away at a timeshare resort.

I've found some tickets on sale through an agency I found on mousesavers.com. It's 2 day hopper passes plus a 3rd day free at Disney Quest. Regular price for family of 4 (our baby would be free) is $758... but they're on sale for $502 (for 2 adults and 2 kids).
So I think we're going to jump on that and focus on MK and Epcot for our parks.

So I'm thinking about our week going a little like this...

SATURDAY: Travel Day
SUNDAY: play and swim at resort
MONDAY: MK
TUESDAY: rest, play/swim
WEDNESDAY:MK then Epcot after lunch (or maybe Epcot all day)
THURSDAY: sleep in, play/swim, lunch then Downtown Disney/Disney Quest
FRIDAY: Day Trip to Clearwater (to show our daughter ocean for 1st time!)
SATURDAY: Travel Day

Any thoughts on this? Are my park days good for those days chosen? Should I move the Clearwater daytrip further back from our travel day? Does that sound like a good deal on tickets?

Thanks for any advice!

I think it looks fine... however with you going with little ones you may want to go to another park besides epcot... maybe like DAK i think theres more to do for that age... IMHO.... I hope you have fun and dont stress yourself out to much... Clearwater's beautiful... bring like a empty jar with you and collect some sand and shells... it makes an awesome souvenier specially since itll be your daughters first visit to the ocean itll be a great way to remember it!

Thanks JCTiger... we've debated the whole second park issue back and forth. It really is still up in the air. I know we could really push ourselves and see all 4 parks in two days if we rushed through everything - but we don't want to do that. I figured if we focused on 2 of the parks, we'd get to see a good amount without feeling rushed to "get onto the next thing".

We're going to have 3 boys (9,7,5) and 2 girls (4, 19 mo). I KNOW they would enjoy Epcot... (based on what I've read) but who knows, maybe they'd enjoy AK better.

But MAYBE... if everything goes smooth... we could do MK all in one day... then on the next day do AK in the morning - then hop on over to Epcot after lunch. Hmmm.....

since your going in June your chances of being able to do all of MK in one day is very tight... however if you do the early entry (or what ever they call it now) you run a very good chance... if you can skip the day parade and get as much of fantasyland done then thats always the most crowded area of the park in my opinion that is... make sure you take advantage of fastpass specially in fantasyland for Peter Pan and Pooh if you plan on going on those rides that is... if they are showing 2 night parades see the second one in frontierland i know a lot of people say no dont do that but when the parade is over theres a LOT LESS people trying to rush out of the park and you can just stroll down main street

(if i remember correctly the parades go as followed... Day parade starts in frontierland ends on main street, night parade 1 starts from main street ends in frontierland, night parade 2 starts in frontierland ends on main street)

because of that with night parade 1 starting in main street that pretty much cuts you off from the other half of the park unless you take the train but the train stops running about 10-15 mins before Wishes starts.... at go on BTM and Splash while the parade is on the lines will be basically non exhistant because no one can get to them because of the parade and you should be able to go on them a few times if you wish... once the parade is over every one rushes over to those 2 rides and also space mountain so getting them done then is right on the money....

I hope this helps a little bit for ya.... :flower:
