Need expert help - AAA/CAA rates

Hi all,

I am in the very early stages of planning my family's first trip to WDW. We are aiming for October 2006. I read somewhere on this site that AAA rates go quickly. Is this true? When do you advise I book? Any help would be much appreciated!

I've used AAA rates several times, and never had a problem getting them 3 - 5 months out. We typically don't go during busy times, so that might have something to do with it. Since there doesn't seem to be general codes for rooms only anymore, a lot of times that's the best I can get. If you reserve the room yourself and not thru AAA, then there's no problem in cancelling or changing the rate to something else if something better does come along and you don't want to chance not getting some sort of discount.

We usually try to book any rooms that we get with AAA at least 6 months in advance in order to secure everything that we want. We also tend to travel during value season, so it's not that busy either. Good luck! Maggie

I'm not sure how long you've been looking but when we started to look we found that AAA rates were higher than most others. This was especially true for the DW tickets - the Disney store was about $20 more per person per day for the park hopper all options passes. We also found that the Radisson Parkway was a better deal than staying on site - it's only 1.5 miles away and located across from the Celebration area.

I have used AAA rates every time we went to Disney and have never had a problem with getting the rates. We go during one of the busiest times of the year, April vacations, since this is when our kids are out of school. I think there is a 500 day limit for how far in advance you can book a room, so as soom as the 500 day limit comes, I would try to book the room.

I have already booked my room for Oct 2006 using CAA.
