Ok so I booked at HOJO and read the reviews on Trip advisor and here. today I was reading reviews on another site and they were bad. Before we have stayed at DLH and enjoyed it, but for $ reasons needed to stay off site if we were going this time. Tell me it's not so bad. The walk seems about the same as from DLH, and the pool looks ok.

HOJO's is fine. Relax. The walk is longish, not too bad, and you are right, it is about the same as from the DLH. See www.mouseplanet.com/articles.php?art=mm060329as for walking distances.

I have stayed at HOJO's. It is one of the better nearby good neighbors. Personally I like a little shorter walk than HOJO's, but it is tolerable.

Was there right before Labor Day. LOVED IT. I'd stay there again in a heartbeat.

I haven't stayed in a room, but I've visited the hotel, and went in a room. I really like it. It's one of my preferred moderates.

I love the encouragement on this board, thanks....... :cool1:

Glad you feel better about booking with them. I've always had nothing but wonderful experiences at the HOJO. We really like this hotel, too. :)

My friend has been to Disneyland many many many many many times, and she only stays at the Hojo! She LOVES IT!!!! Actually when I was booking my trip she begged me to stay there.

We stayed at Hojo's one night on our way to PPH last year and loved it. I could have happily stayed there for the whole trip had I not made previous reservations elsewhere. I had the best night's sleep there, great view of the park, and my favorite part was the vibe from all the guests. It just seems like a fun mix of people stays there. We had a great time watching the fireworks from the pool and chatting with folks. :goodvibes

Just back from another great stay at Howard Johnson! We love it there! :thumbsup2

We really liked it there as well.I was never afraid of letting the kids walk on the floor like some hotels. The rooms are large. There are 5 of us and we took a camp cot and put it up for my DS instead of a rollaway-plenty of room.

My only complaint was the walk at night, after the park.It was doable but tiring, esp. for my 5 year old.We are going back in Oct and Dec and staying right across the street.I hope I don't regret it.

Actually,I do have another complaint,They over charged us one night.Just keep track.Even after that I would still stay there,if it was a bit closer.

Just relax,you'll enjoy it.Especially the $$$ you'll be saving.
