Need directions ct to wdw using tappan zee back to 95

Leaving tonight from shoreline ct. We want to take the tappan zee to avoid the city and then head back to 95.

So... Where do we head back to 95? Anyone know what the route and exit #s are?

1. Head west on I-287 W/I-87 N
8.4 mi
2. Take exit 14A to merge onto Garden State Pkwy toward New Jersey
Partial toll road
Entering New Jersey
3. Garden State Pkwy South to exit 129 NJ turnpike(I95).

Depending on the time of day you potentially will hit some traffic but any opportunity i have to avoid the GWB I take and this route will do that. Good luck

you taking the Merrit? you will hit some around the bridge for sure. Parkway is rush hour prime time 430-630. You will hit some there also. Hard to say being this is probably a little bit of a getaway day with people traveling. I would leave 5 or a bit after to avoid traffic. You do have an option of staying on the thruway and grab 287 in Monsey. You still would hit traffic there but will be hit or miss. If you do decide on 287 south you would take exit I believe 15 off thruway to 287 south. 287 runs back into the turnpike at exit 1A

We're not planning on taking the Merritt. We're doing 95 to 287.

traffic looked pretty bad on parkway at rush last night.(i live within eyeshot) let us know how things played out
