As y'all may remember I recently moved and I hate the new house:confused3

Also, in anticipation of a "fresh start" I sold my wall decor at a yard sale. I now need wall stuff for my kitchen (light blue walls) and living room (taupe colored walls).

I have tried Wal-Mart, Target, Christmas Tree Shoppe, Bath and Beyond, MIchaels' Craft, TJ Maxx, Marshalls, Pier One and Burlington Coat Factory, etc. searching for something, anything, to hang on my walls. I haven't found anything that was even worth a second look.

Can anyone recomend a store or internet site I can check? I would like to spend less than $50-75 per piece.

Thanks

art.com

I would also go look at local furniture stores.

Have you tried Kirkland's? They have some great pieces, and sales often. They have a website, kirklands.com

Or if you are creative, what about photos on canvas? Take some cool family pics and use an online site (I think Walmart.com and others have it) and they can print it on a hangable canvas.

Thanks for Kirkland.com, we don't have one of those near us. I forgot to mention I did brave the local furniture stores with their salespeople.

I wasn't wanting to put "family" pictures in the living room. I have a pile of those that I'm trying to decide where to hang (either the other half of the living room which will be a "sitting area/office) or in the hallway going upstairs.

My taste varies, but my living room couches are sage green microfibre. NOt sure what style they are considered. I have a dark wood, almost mission style end table, no coffee table and the walls are taupe. There are oak hardwood floors with a beige berber area rug over it.

My last art work which I really liked (but sold at a yardsale) were two pieces probably 28 inches square of a red tulip in an abstract vase. There were on canvas and I bought them at Target for about $29 each. Target doesn't seem to carry much in terms of art work anymore.

In my prior kitchen I had a large framed print, with a silver frame, of flowers in light peach and sage green, I think. That is still in storage, but the colors wouldn't work with the blue in the kitchen now.

Thanks

I second art.com and home goods.

However, with art.com, don't make a big order at first. Because they will likely send you a coupon to use with your next order. ;) Also, buy their artwork mounted but not framed. If you buy in standard poster sizes, you can get pre-made frames, silver or black for sure, at Michaels for a LOT less. Home Goods will have some larger framed pieces (they seem to like gold frames) for about $40.
