Need Campground just past Atlanta Ga!

Anyone stayed at a campground just past Atlanta, Ga. We have stayed at Eagles Nest but we will not be able to leave early enough to get through the Atlanta Traffic, in time to get that far. So we are not leaving until that evening, to miss Atlanta rush hr, and would like to stop after we get through Atlanta somewhere. Thanks

There is a pretty nice KOA campground in cartersville, ga. It's close to I75 and north of any Atlanta traffic.

There are several COE campgrounds and Red Top Mountain State Park closer to Atlanta around lake Altoona, they are not very close to 75 though and I would not want to navigate them at night and none of them are late check in friendly

KOA - Forysth, GA sits on east side, south of atl. Nice folks, 450 miles to FW. Also there is great BBQ place just down next exit I think??? . Wotrht the drive

For north bound I recommend Harvest Moon in Adairsville. Heading south if you can push it I recommend Twin Oaks in Elko. Stayed at both and both are quite nice and friendly. Both are close to I-75. Twin Oaks has nothing near by, so if you want to eat out you'll need to stop in Perry or south for breakfast. Both get very good reviews on rvparkreviews website.

We always stay at Forsyth KOA. Easy on and off, reasonable, nice people. You will hear some traffic noise tho.

I will second Twin Oaks in Elko, easy long pull thru sites.
