DH and I are booked for the early (8:30am) Segway Tour at Epcot. Epcot doesn't open until 9am that morning.

Will there be busses running directly from the Polynesian to Epcot early enough to get us there on time? I believe we have to check in at 8:15am.

What is our best transportation option??

Thanks!

Hi,
We had a early ressie for the princess breakfast in epcot
the last time we stayed at the poly and the front desk gave
us the wrong info. We waited at the bus stop and finally
asked a bus driver about the "early" bus we had been told
about and he said there wasn't one. So we had to quickly
drive over to Epcot. If you have a car just drive over, and
if you do not try to check with one of the bus drivers the
day before so you can try to work out what you need to do.
If you could find out the monorail schedule maybe it would
be early enough for you to walk over and ride it. If that fails
may be the poly will send you over in a Van? Good luck

Take the Resort monorail to the TTC, then transfer to the Epcot monorail. Don't walk to the TTC from the Poly (as we did, thinking we'd save time) or you'll be stuck waiting outside the gates before they let in the general public.

Who did you schedule the tour through? I'd give them a call and verify which mode of transportation you should use to get into the Park prior to official opening. Sorry, but I like to have my bases covered..... I have a feeling they won't wait for late-comers.:earsgirl: :earsboy: :earsboy: :earsgirl:

Thanks for the replies! :) Especially the tip about not walking over to TTC. I'd hate to walk there, only to be locked out. lol

We booked this tour directly through CRO. It's one of the "behind the scenes" type of tours offered at Epcot. It's only 2 hours long, and they teach you to ride a Segway, then you tour Epcot with a couple of guides, while you ride/operate your own Segway. Sounds like fun, can't wait!

Anyway, we're staying at the Polynesian, concierge, so maybe I'll ask a concierge CM the best way to go, or maybe have them arrange a taxi to drive us over. I don't want us to miss this, it's our anniversary that day. :teeth:

Our son did the Segway Tour a year ago in March during one of our Polynesian stays. He did walk to the TTC....that is the way we always get to Epcot. In retrospect, I wish that I had dropped him off because the monorail had problems that am and he had to run though Epcot to catch up with the group.

But I don't understand the locked out part? We have never been locked out at the TTC. If they are holding everyone back, just contact a CM at the front or side and explain the situation. You will have to do the same kind of thing at Epcot I believe. Walking is so much faster than doing the whole resort circuit.

I wonder what time those gates at the TTC do open?

But I too would take a cab if you won't have a car.

We were in Hawaii that trip too. :flower: Have fun SeaSpray. :cool1:
