Need assistance from south-central PA Disers

how do you travel to Knoebels Grove? I typically take Route 61 to 54, then 487 to Knoebels. It takes me 1.5 hours. Someone in my office is looking for alternate directions using Route 183. The only online directions I've found take 183 to 901 and take twice as long to get there, but the distance is shorter

Does anyone know how to get there from Lancaster/Reading, area of Routes 422 & 222? Other than Route 61. I want to get her to 78/81 then on to Knoebels.

Hmmmm, my mom may know. I'll e-mail her for her. We have friend who go there all the time -- they live outside Allentown.

From our friends in PA:

The route 61 directions for both cases are your best way. There are some back roads you could take, but if you hit them at the wrong time it could be a lot longer. In addition, we know the back roads way, but less showing you them, we could never describe how to go.

DH's aunt lives in Western Berks and goes through Pine Grove to 81. I would get myself lost, let alone explain to someone else how to go that way.
