We are going to Disney in April. This will be our first time. We have battled the last couple of weeks between DDP and DxDP. We finally decided that we are going to do the DxDP. It is only a $300 difference and when we did all the caculations we would spend more than that OOP for everyone in the family to be able to get the food that they want. I was wondering if anyone had any advice on good choices for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. So far I know the kids want to do character meals. Which ones would you suggest? What resturaunts would you suggest besides Character meals? Do I have to have ADR's for every single meal?

Yes, you will need reservations for any TS meal. I am not sure you will need the DxDP. I have had the DP 2 times before and let me tell you, we have had more than enough food...you get dessert with TS and we usually took it back to eat later:) We had ressies for Tusker House, CP, CM, 1900 Park Fare and The Plaza...Tusker House and CP were for breakfast...when I go the next time, we will do much the same. We also had dinner one night at EOS and that was delicious:) Hope this helps you somewhat. Good luck with your decision:)

We did the deluxe plan and loved it. It's a lot of food, but it was a lot of great food that we wouldn't have gotten otherwise.

We had the best NY strip we have ever had at Le Cellier. However, with 2 young girls, we didn't do any 2TS credit signature restaurants so I cannot comment on those steakhouses except to say I have read great things about Yachtsman. Definitely give Le Cellier a try. The appetizers were very good as was the bread they bring to your table. The steak - awesome!

We had steak at two other restaurants, both were good. We had the ribeye at Grand Floridian Cafe and a NY strip at the Turf Club at Saratoga Springs. I prefered the steak at SSR to GF. We have had good steaks at Tony's Town Square as well.

Another place we wanted to try but couldn't get into when we were there in December was Coral Reef. The steak looked so good on the Food Pics thread.

Enjoy!

For steak, go to Le Cellier in Epcot ( 1 dining plan hit) or the Yachtsman (2 dining plan hits).

Other great places for dining are BOMA, Ohana ( they do a really good breakfast / family style) with Lilo and Stitch at the Polynesian resort, Chef Mickey's at the Contemporary.

Enjoy!
