Need Advice-What should I do????

Dis is always the best when it comes to help, advice, common sense and just plain kindness so need some advice . My “friends” of my 10 year old son somehow got a hold of his VMK password and pretty much wiped out of all the “valuable” things he had collected-his Bat Magic, Seagull hat, green flips, all the pirate pieces from the pin codes you get the idea. Of course he is devastated by not only the missing items but because this was done by friends-people he introducted and taught how to play VMK and who he has given many, many items to. Some has been returned but not all. Is it a life lesson-yes but still it is stealing, ok virtual stealing but stealing. I know he is in a hard position-friends, school etc but I don’t want them doing it to others. What can or should be done or should we just chalk it up to the school of hard knocks? Any and all advice will be greatly appreciated!

First of all I would suggest he stop hanging around with those "friends". Next I would suggest he create a new character and give the Username and Password to NOBODY (except for maybe a VMK playing parent).

Sorry it had to happen to him, but sometimes hard knocks are the best lessons. This may help him prepare for other points in his life when he has a lot more to lose than virtual items in a free game.

Thanks for the help. We have both created our new characters and transfered over what we could-is there anything that can be done about the magic pins ie driving and the rooms or is he just out of luck there too. I told him to buy anything and everything with the credits that he had with his original name as it is my understanding those cannot be transferred either. Also what is the VMK Pal? Is there an advantage to that or is that another way your things can dissapper?

You can just change the password on the original account instead of making new characters.

then type in the user name and the vmk password and it will take you to the next screen where you do the changes.

Do you have the names of the kids that wiped him out. Not that VMK can do anything but I would still report them. Maybe there is a way to tell by IP address? Have you talked to their parents. And have you and your son talked to them.
Other than that not sure what we can do. What is his VMK title. And I would do what was posted just change your password. Some of the magic is not transferable.
Sorry to hear what happened. But I think what is best for younger kids is that they change there password more often. So that other kids do not take advantage of him.

If you take the advice to change your Disney password, which I hope you do, then you won't lose your rooms. If you create new characters, you lose the magic and rooms, and anything else that is not tradeable (pink monster doors, pirate ships, sparrow items, water slide up and down, etc.)

real "friends" wouldent do that and also change the password.

Thanks for all the good advice....I didn't realize I could change the password through the master account so that will help. It's a tricky thing when you're in 6th grade as I'm sure many of you are aware of-got the old rep to protect. To complicate matters more, I teach at the school where my son goes so talking to the parents is also tricky as well.....we have the new account for both of us now and tomorrow the passwords get changed (he told them they had until tonight to return the items) Life lessons are so hard aren't they??? On a lighter noe how cool is the ride a thon!!! Does anyone know if we will be getting ride pieces or not-not that the credits weren't very, very welcome as we have no access to our old ones!
