Heres the situation I need some advice on: I have been worknig in the hotel business for 11 years as a front desk clerk, and have basically helped do it all from payroll/accounts payable and receivable, handled emergencies, trained countless people and so on.
I was offered a general management positon at another hotel in town and I am scared to take it as I have never managed, or had total responsibility.
Are there any good managemwnt websites that can help me decide if I am ready.
The job I am in currently is going nowhere as the current manager is well...a twit(putting it mildy. Help

, but it seems to me if you were all ready offered the position, someone thinks you have the qualifications and can handle the job.
Good luck with your decision. Sometimes fear can hold us back and that's a bad thing, other times it's good. I hope someone who works in the industry can help you out.
