Need Advice On Ssr

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

DH and I are going to stay at SSR for the first time with our DVC in October. Reserved a 1 bedroom but have never been to the resort so have no idea about what the best location is. I am partially disabled, no wheelchair but would prefer not to have to walk a lot to get to the busses but don;t want to actually have a busstop outside my bedroom window either (picky, huh?) Just wondering if there is a certain section to request where it is nice quiet scenic views but close to transportation.

THANKS SO MUCH!!!

Hello my wife and son just returned from ssr and we stayed in congress park. It was lovely and we had a dd view. Stayed in the 2700 section and bus stop was 2 buildings down so very easy. Also the walk to the main building was very short and easy about 3-5 min walk. hope this help i would say stay in at the main building but its to close to alot of people and the main pool not my cup of tee i like a little privacy. So i believe congress park would suit you fine we will request it evertime we go

we don't have kids and really are not that interested in the pools so would prefer a quieter location but still not much walking--so you think Congress Park is the best for that?

IMO, the Grandstand section might suit you best. It's quiet, especially if you have a golf course view. It's very close to the Carriage House and restaurants. The bus stop is also close by, but not on top of you. One other factor is that this bus stop is the first for the pick-up and the first stop coming from the parks. :thumbsup2

If you call MS and explain your request is a medical need for a convenient location, it probably would be granted. :)

Good luck, and have a wonderful time. :goodvibes

Looks like your getting a lot of options, truth is everyone likes certain sections for different reasons bus stops are located conveinently for all sections. If your looking to be close to AP / main pool area the Springs is probably best if thats not important CP has great DTD views unless you would rather look at the golf course and be near the new theme pool, this could go on forever. Best bet is view the SSR map the bus stops are clearly marked this way you can ask for aspecific building in the section that appeals to you. Be sure to tell themit;s a medical request. Have Fun

Don't worry about being too close to a bus stop. We had a room very close to the Carousel bus stop last week and never heard it. Do look at an SSR map and request a building close to a bus stop. If it is important to be near the restaurants, boat dock to Downtown Disney and main activities area, then Springs is the closest area. Congress Park is across from Downtown Disney and may be the next closest although Grandstand is not that far away either. The golf course goes around the Grandstand area so may be a little quieter and has it's own pool. Carousel and Paddocks are not that bad but you do have to walk a bit to get to the main area.
