Need Advice on places to eat without reservation on Thanksgiving

I will be visiting the parks the week of Thanksgiving and the only reservation I could make for Thanksgiving day was at a Mexican restaurant for 9PM.
The same time as a firework show and a bit late for our family.

Does anybody have any suggestions on where to eat on Thanksgiving without having a reservation. My kids range in age from 4 to 13 and would like to minimize waiting in line to eat and finding a restaurant which has seating for 8.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

I would keep calling to see if you can get an earlier adr - yesterday I was looking for another day and accidently left 11/26 as the date and an adr for 4pm at one of the restaurants in Epcot popped up. People do cancel as the dates get closer so I would keep calling and checking online to see if you can move it earlier. I do think you have more flexability calling by being able to say to the CM for example, "anywhere in Epcot between 4pm and 7pm" whereas online it seems it limits you more to an hour window.

Short of that, if it were me, I would have a non-traditional thanksgiving day meal at a CS and focus on what thanksgiving is all about, which is usually not the food

Did you try the Swan? The Garden Grove is wonderful on holidays, but it is not included in the Dining Plan.

You would still need a reservation, though, but it might be easier to get than at one of the restaurants on the plan.

I just went into online dining reservations to see what I could find in Epcot -- a few restaurants had availablity for a party of 8 from 3:30 - 5:30 for dinner and even more were available for lunch (Chefs de France, Restaurant Marrakesh, Nine Dragons, etc).

So, if you'd like a table-service restaurant, you may have to adjust your dining time or 1st choice. Have you tried any of the resort restaurants? They may also have some availability.
