Need Advice on Moving During a Split Stay

I know someone on this board can help me with this problem-we are scheduled to come in on a Saturday and stay at the POR. The next morning we are moving over to VWL. We have the DDP scheduled through the VWL, so we need to register at VWL before we head over to the AK for our 8:25 a.m. reservation at Tusker House. I know that our room won't be ready, but we would like to either have our luggage moved through bell services or bring it with us from POR when we check in at VWL. We have three children 9, 6, and 4. I am thinking that my husband should take a cab and go over to VWL, check in and then meet the kids and I at AK. HELP!! Any advice would be much appreciated.

We just did a split stay between AKL/WL and I was really impressed with how easy it was. Just call bell services and have them come to your room and get your bags, and they'll get them over to VWL later in the day. We left around 11am and our bags made it to WL by 5pm.

You will need to check in to get your DDP, but it should be a pretty simple process with them handling the bag transfer for you.

Call bell services, and they will take your luggage from resort A to resort B. Or, you can get a cab to WL, and have the front desk hold the luggage until you return from the park(s). Either way, you'll need to check in to get the DDP.

I'm doing the same thing in April....

Go over to A.K...Have DH take your luggage(if your a control freak)
by cab...and have him take a bus from WL to A.K to meet ya.

Several options...you can have POR move your bags to VWL for you. It will take all day, but it is easy. Just let them know the night before, give them a time to be at your room to pick up the bags. Then you can have a cab called to get you to VWL early. Normally, I suggest just heading to a park, but because you need to check in to get your DDP credits, it will be a bit on the hard side to get there using the bus system that early.
Or...since you are already going to be calling a cab to get you there, I would just schlep the bags with you, in the cab. Then let Bell Services deal with them until your room is ready.
OR.....as someone already said...have dh take a cab, with the bags, to VWL, and checkin and get all your documentation. You can take the bus from POR to AK and meet him there.
