Need advice on getting free refrigerator at POP Century for medical reasons.

I understand this service is available, but I'm not sure how to go about getting it. Also, I don't want a lot of hassles doing this from the resort staff to get a free refrigerator. We will keep insulin (with a protected wrap) under ice when we don't have a frig, usually in an ice bucket. It sure would be nice to have a frig, but I don't want the $10 or $15 fee/ day for doing it.

My husband is diabetic and takes insulin and pills. The insulin should be kept cold. Do we need a doctor's note to get a free refrigerator? Do we only need to show the insulin medicine?

How does this work? TIA

I have it added to my reservation as a special request. Just let them know that you need it for insulin storage. It doesn't hurt to remind them at checkin. I have never had a problem with them cahrging for it and it is usually there when we get in.

They have smaller ones for keeping medications cold. You may not get the room size ones that others get.

Like another poster said, have it noted on your reservation and then just mention it again at checkin. We get one for DS's meds and only once have we been charged for it. When I got home and called WDW Special Needs Guest Services I was credited the charge back to my account. I've never had a tough time with this, usually the CM's don't even ask about what the reason for the fridge is.

My children are both diabetic and we have stayed at Pop twice with no problems getting a free fridge. I just stated it when I made the reservation and it was noted on our file and we never had any questions. I did have to call for the fridge once we were in our room but there was never a charge. They are very accommodating!

I dont think you should have a problem it might make you feel better to call and ask the resort and then ask them to note your reservations again, then when checking in mention it and checking out make sure you werent charged..
