I just checked out SW for flights for our upcoming trip, we are leaving Jan 8th which means I can not book a round trip flight. Right now the prices are 59 for one way... but it's a connecting flight which I'm not thrilled about since I'm traveling with my hubby and 5 kids ranging in age from 3-21. I know Jan prices usually come down with other airlines but right now not so cheap. I'm not sure whether to wait for the prices to come down with other airlines for a direct flight or book one way right now. What would you do?
. The trick is, book when you see the fare you want
. The $184 fare was GONE in less than 2 hours after I received the email alert
. I have noticed that the major airlines usually adjust fares when Southwest posts theirs (notice that my trip was booked six months out) if the route is served by Southwest. I usually prefer Southwest because of their no fee change or rebooking policies, but in my case the only non-stop is operated by Alaska Airlines (but the booking was through Delta). Good luck and have a fantastic trip. I love January in WDW.
