need advice for august

Trying to avoid crowds at all cost. We want to see Haunted Mansion before it gets the conversion to Holiday as the kids have already seen that. However I really do NOT want to be at the parks when school is out. So.....

Does anyone have an idea when Local CA schools go back? Would the last week before Labor day weekend be fairly low crowds?

I live in North County San Diego (an hour south of DL), and the range of our schools starting is mid-August to mid-September. The majority starts the last week of August, or the first week of September.

I don't think HM goes down for its overlay until mid-late September. The second week of September should be good.

Most of my DL trips have been the week after Labor Day. We usually go on Monday and stay through the week. Monday can be pretty crowded (obviously), but the rest of the week is not. And HM hasn't been transformed by that time.
