My brother has run into probs with his landlord. Long story short, landlord is upset that DB got him into trouble with housing inspector and another company (landlord lied about them doing work). So now landlord wants to evict DB and is just trying to come up with reasons - March rent is not paid (cuz DB wanted the work on the heating system done but was not late until today) or that DB runs a business out of his house (DB has an office in town and calls go to the cell phone when he is not there).

He needs to know if the landlord can really evict him. He rather not have to take the initiative and move - and he doesn't think the guy can actually evict him, but he doesn't want the hassle. But he's willing to get a lawyer and fight to protect himself and his child.

Anyone deal with a nasty vindictive landlord before?

Thanks. That's one I haven't seen - and it has info related to the heating issue.

:)

I think he should really think about moving, it sounds like the landlord is going to make his life a living hell if he doens't. It's jsut going to be another thing next time around.
