Hi all.

We are traveling to Orlando in a couple of weeks and want to book a Town Car to pick us up. We had a trip in the past where we arranged for Town Cars and when we arrived no one was there and we ended up using Mears. Then on the return trip they called to confirm our pick up and we asked why they had not shown. They said there records said they had and we were not there. Anyway, they said their apologies and said the return ride would be free - Great right? Wrong becuase they sent a taxi van, not the towncar we had wanted. I can't find my records on who this company was (I thought I would remember the name for ever but had to re-use the brain cells I guess).

I guess my question is can anyone recommend a company that is courteous and on time? I want one that if we book a town car that is what will show up. I do not like the vans or the taxi/vans.

Thanks in advance,

TC

Why not give one of the Transportation Board sponsors a try - FL Tours or YourRide? Look at the right hand side of the Transportation Board for an icon/link to get you to their web sites. Believe both have a coupon, too.

After last night, I can personally recommend YourRide. I arranged for a towncar for my daughter, niece and nephew. They are at the BWV right now, and arrived at MCO last night at about 7:30 p.m. Report was the Your Ride Driver (Dennis, I think) was wonderful to them and everything went just great. Since they are 21, 21 and 19, I was a bit nervous, but as it turned out, there wasn't any need to be.

Good luck with your decision and have a wonderful trip!

We used Yourride in July and were very satisfied with their service. They were on time both times and will help with the luggage. Don't forget to use the coupon.

it will be my first time using a towncar from airport to WDW. I have looked into Tiffany, FL, Happy Limo and Yourride. Although their rates and services are similar, I guess I will go with Yourride because of people's good feedback on its services and that there is no hidden cost. I was reading the website of Happy Limo and it has so many fine prints at the bottom of the rate list. Happy Limo charges $8 gate fee for services to MK resorts and gratuities are automatically counted into the final bill. When I emailed Yourride, I was informed that there is no extra gate fee, no tax and tips are not charged automatically... I like that!

I'll second the Yourride recommendation. We have used them twice in the past and look forward to seeing them again in September. Rabbit is the best!

We just got back from WDW and used YourRide for the first time and were very happy with the service. They would be my pick again.

As I just posted to someone else, Tiffany has provided great service to everyone I have recommended them to. I particularly love the driver, Berkely. They also have a coupan at their website. Carolyn from NJ

We use Happy Limo a lot (usually to the Disney cruise but also to WDW), and they have always given us great service. We have only needed to use the grocery stop once, but they always offer it. As a matter of fact, we'll be using them again in two weeks!

My vote goes to Yourride as well. I used them in June and was more than pleased. Used Happy Limo last September and was not as pleased. However it may have been just a bad day for the driver, since there have been many posts recommending Happy Limo.

Has anyone taken Florida Town Car? Does this company still exist? I've taken Tiffany and wasn't too happy with it. The driver was slamming Disney for most of the ride (as he was driving us there) and the car had a very strong smell of cigaretts. Most importantly, he didn't honor the price quoted on the phone when I made the reservations. Only a $5.00 or so difference, but it was still a little bit annoying.

This board is the first I've heard of Your Ride. What size cars to they use? There will be three of us along w/ a carseat, carriage and luggage. Thanks!! :D

Cinmell, I am sorry about your experience. I remember all I did was tell my driver, Berkely that Deb from Tiffany said I didn't need to show the coupan and that she credited me for it and that was it. I know from Deb that she wants customers to be more than happy and she would want you to let her know about this. I can guarantee you she would make up for it. I have found her so accomdating. It's up to you but I would email her about this and hey, maybe you will get an upgrade and of course ask for my favorite driver, Berkely. Carolyn from NJ

Thanks Carolyn! We were going to rent a car this time but decided to go with the town car instead. I think we'll give Tiffany another try, maybe our driver had a bad day last time. Thanks again!

I used Tiffany last year and was unhappy with my experience.

First, my flight arrived a little early (maybe 5 or 10 minutes) and the driver was not there in the designated place . I assumed that they should check the schedule to see if the flight is a little early so they know to meet me. I eventually found him after getting my baggage and calling the company on a pay-phone.

Second, I was travelling alone with my 2 year and had a stroller, suitcase, car seat and backpack. The driver only helped with the suit case, just rolling it outside!

Third, even though I confirmed my return trip, he did not show up at the proper time (I waited 1/2 hour) and I had to call the company and have them send a different driver to pick me up. Luckly, we got to the airport on time still.

I'll be chosing a different limo when I go again this year.

Hi Zephyr, I think you must have had a bad driver and again I would email or call Deb at Tiffany about this. The driver we had and my family members also use is Berkely and he was great. He had a carseat in the van ready for me if I needed it even though I forgot to ask for one, he was right there at the end of the ramp waiting for us as soon as we got off and imediately took the baby carriage from me to push (I was holding baby) as he brought us to the luggage area, he helped with the luggage, and when we were leaving Disney, he patiently waited early for us just in case.

Everyone who has used Berkely that I know, has told me he was great too.

You are right to be upset about what happened but you might want to let Deb at Tiffany know who the driver was and what happened.

Take care, Carolyn from NJ
