DH won a trip to the Super Bowl!!!! :yay: We will be flying to Miami on Friday and want to have a nice dinner Friday night. We have been looking at places online, but can't decide where to go. We don't mind treating ourselves to a $25-$30/entree for good seafood. We aren't the type to really dress up and often enjoy going where locals like to dine. We would like to be near the ocean and eat outside if possible. We will be staying at the Hilton Downtown Miami and need to get there by taxi.

Thanks for any suggestions!

My pick would be Joe's Stone Crab.

We looked at Joe's Stone Crab but Trip Adviser reviews were not very positive for it.

I love using Trip Advisor for helping me to plan trips. But, I do realize that everyone is not going to give a positive review for everyplace. I do look at the negatives, but take them with a grain of salt. We stayed at two motels in the past that was not rated very well. Let me tell you, they where just fine. No issues at all.

Actually, Joe's Stone Crab is rated very well, #14 out of 406 restaurants in Miami Beach. I would not hesitate at all to eat there!!!!

I can only go by my own experience with Joe's. I've been eating there for over 35 years.

The only complaints I've had over the years is the wait to get a table can be long at times and the food can be pricey depending on what you order (but oh so worth it).

I always order the stone crabs, hash browns, and key lime pie (my mouth is watering right now).

There are many good restaurants in South Beach. I hope you find one you'll enjoy and hope the weather warms up for you!

I like Monty's. :thumbsup2 Wish I was there now Or just walk along Lincoln Road and pick a place wher you can sit outside and enjoy the atmosphere of South Beach. :hippie:

I LOVE Lincoln Road. There are lots of little cafes along there. And it's very nice walking around there in the evening. Also, one of my favorites in Miami is Jerry's Deli. HUGE menu, if you can't find something you like there you have a problem. And they have amazing desserts so if you go somewhere else, stop in for a cannoli or piece of cake or something. Yummy!!! And I know you said seafood, but if you like Mexican, Hacienda Way is just a few blocks over from Lincoln and has some great restaurants.

I love the Lincoln Road mall. Tons of restaurants and a really fun environment.:thumbsup2

I have eaten at Big Pink several times. It's my favorite restaurant in that area. Outdoor seating and casual dining.
