Need a nice family friendly hotel! Considering Alton Towers Resort!

We want to go on a short break here in England and want a nice hotel with a lovely pool for the girls. Preferably within a couple of hours drive from Kent.

Any ideas????

Ahh Jo - Haven't a clue hon - but I would love to stay in the Alton Towers Resort. Don't they have themed rooms?? I bet your girls will love that.

It looks good on the website and I really wanted a hotel with a nice pool as we want to go end of May so you don't know what the weather's going to do. Price doesn't seem too bad either

Hi,

Kent is about a 3 hour drive from Alton Towers on a good day (about 180 - 200 miles).

Alton Towers hotel is very good but not cheap.

What time of year are you coming over? If you want an outdoor pool as it may be chilly.

Any part of Kent / South East England you are looking at?

Need to be close to any attractions or just a restful break?

we love alton towers been there lots of times, then hotel and waterpark are a treat in itself, they have a very nice buffet reasturant in splash landings and another sit down one in alton towers, they also have a spz!
Family rooms are nice as well.

When we go we stay at the travel inn at uttoxeter (10 mins away) the fri night and then alton towers hotel sat sun, they let you check in early so it works out better than paying loads to only get there late friday.

I live in Kent and we're thinking end of May so definitely need an indoor pool

Been to the Alton Towers Hotel three times. The indoor swimming pool is brilliant. Very enjoyable weekend, but not Disney. I'd go back but Mark doesn't think it is worth the money anymore, but definately one of the best for the UK in my opinion. They used to do special weekend deals at the begining of the season where the park was closed to off to hotel guests

I love the hotels at Alton Towers. DH and I usually stay at one (or sometimes both) of them once a year as we go to AT a lot (we have AP's.) I prefer the AT hotel myself, but I love swimming in Cariba Creek. I've even been known to swim in the outdoor bit in November!!
