Is January traditionally still when "White Sales" are held? We are in need of new bath towels & face clothes.

I'm thinking Bed Bath & Beyond, Kohls or even online. I remember getting some at a wonderful sale at Amazon.com one time.

JCPenney here has Bath Towels on sale this week @ $3.99 each. I think I saw that Kohls also has some on sale but it is not the best sale I have seen - I think it was $5.99/bath towel.

JCPenney also has an offer on their site that you will get $5 off your online order for signing up & giving them your email address...

I just picked up an 8 pack of washcloths at JC penney for 4.99! They were set up as a display in the middle aisle. Not high quality, but great for my kid's bathroom!!

I purchased CHAPS brand towels from Kohl's in November. They are soo soft and they have washed really well. Very happy with them. We also purchased a set on-line from Amazon for our guest room. They are OK but it really makes we appreciate the quaility of the CHAPS towels. They are not the cheapest choice at Kohl's but I think they are the nicest. With a sale, I think the bath sheets were 13.99, bath towels were 9.99, the hand towels maybe 6 or 7 etc. Add a 30% coupon that they were giving out Kohl's cash at the time and I think it was a pretty good deal.

I actually just bought towels for my master bath at Walmart. The bath towels were $5 and the hand towels were $3. It is the Canopy brand (they sell 3 or 4 brands). I must say, they are very soft and I really like them. I see no difference in those and the Ralph Lauren towels that we have in our other bathroom.

Got an email from Kohls that the night owl/early bird specials begin today at 3pm EST. It is showing The Big One bath towels for $2.49 (reg $7.99). Use codes extra20 and nocharge to bring them to $2 each shipped!
I thought the codes were for Kohls CC holders only, but I've seen some people post here the last few days saying they've used them with debit cards. Not sure what the washcloths and hand towels will be marked down to yet.

I think the "Big Ones" are just okay towels, but my linen closet is full of them and that's what I've bought for each of my sons to take to college. They are not particularly luxurious, big or thick, but they are a couple inches bigger than they were a few years ago. That is a truly incredible deal, though.

I'm shopping for new master bath towels, and I thought the prices at Bed, Bath and Beyond were high unless you use a bunch of their coupons.
