My boss has a husband that is a notorious tightwad. A few years ago she got a pretty good(close to $1,000) merit bonus. They decided to go to WDW. He kept a pencil and a running tab the whole time. And no, they are not destitute. Wouldnt let them spend a Penny extra. The best part is when they got to Epcot, he wouldnt let them go in any of the pavillions. Said that " all there is in there are shops, and we dont need to spend any money". So they just walked around the outside(sad really). Anyway, she and I were there in September for a conference. She was AMAZED at the stuff to do in the pavillions(not just "shops"). When she got home, he got an earful :rotfl:

Sounds like something our CEO would do. Poor thing only pulls in about half a million in salary each year. I guess no one ever told him that he can't take it with him.

That makes me LOL! If I thought my dh was going to be that uptight on a trip I wouldn't even go. Keeping an exact tally wouldn't bother me, I like to see where we are financially and how much we've spent but not letting us go somewhere because it's all shops and we don't need to spend any more money, well, that's going too far.

Money is just the stuff that lets you live your life. Some people have it wrong and live their life to amass money - I've never understood that.

If your boss's views on money's place in life are in tune with her 'tightwad' husband then there is no problem. If they are nto then she has a BIG problem.
