Need 2 day/2 park plan for May, any takers?

Here goes:

We're headed to US/IOA May 21/22 or 22/23 (haven't decided which is best yet), doing 2/2. Here's what would be wonderful for this newbie (yes, I've been once but not with the whole family): A printable schedule to go by so that we make the most of our time, rides, and hit both parks at the most strategic time. Any takers?

They want to hit WWOHP, and then of course, EVERY major ride (they love the thrill rides). Can a veteran give me a literal plan for starting out, majoring on all the thrill rides, less shows, and must sees? And when is the best time to switch parks? Afternoon? Evening? Or is this too much to ask? We're coming over to the darkside blinded...so perhaps, someone would share their light?

We are dh, ds25, dd24, dd12, and myself..disneychik. I'd love to have something in hand to go by. Oh, and we're staying on Disney property. TIA!

Most people don't plan that heavily for Universal but I know a couple of the posters will draw something up for you. Universal is unlike Disney...you can relax and enjoy yourselves instead of running around trying to see everything. Maybe you could read some of the trip reports and check out the website to see exactly what you want to do? That might help some.

Wow! Didn't know THAT one for sure! I've read to get to WWOHP early, get there before the parks open an hour early...so this chik felt really out of the loop on all of this! We normally hit the WDW parks, ride all the rides before mid afternoon, and then we 'play it by ear' after we've done the 'must-haves'. And I do know they want to do ALL the big rides...Hulk, Spiderman, WWOHP, and everything else, but I wouldn't know which to 'hit' first, second, hop over to what park when...etc. But thanks for the heads up. I'll definitely take a look see at the trip reports! Thanks again!

I think in two days you can hit all the big stuff--easy. But don't forget to relax too...you don't want to miss the "little stuff". It's what makes Universal so irresistible.

I think I would do WWoHP first, then after that just loop around IoA in whichever direction you prefer. When you've had enough of IoA, take the five-minute walk to the Studios and do the same, or walk to City Walk and look around, eat, whatever. On Day 2, do what you didn't get a chance to the day before and/or go back to your favorites. Don't forget there are three rides in each park that have single-rider--don't be afraid to use them if you like as they are likely to be quicker.

I agree with Metro--not a lot of advanced commando planning is required.

We always stay onsite and never have a touring plan. Other than going to Wizarding World for early admission, we always just play it by ear.

When you've had enough of IoA, take the five-minute walk to the Studios and do the same, or walk to City Walk and look around, eat, whatever. On Day 2, do what you didn't get a chance to the day before and/or go back to your favorites. Don't forget there are three rides in each park that have single-rider--don't be afraid to use them if you like as they are likely to be quicker.

Thanks! It is a little interesting how that you DON'T have to go commando style. I could really like this! A friend of mine went for spring break and told me the lines were so long for WWOHP, they didn't even hit it. I'm hoping this week in time, we'll be fine. But first, it'll be!

We're staying Disney, so we won't be early admission, but we'll get there early, so we plan on making WW our first stop! Thanks! And I guess by y'alls consensus, this chik won't be in panic mode and have a 'detailed plan'.

Anything y'all want to chime in and tell this newbie...What not to miss? Outside of the Butterbeer, that's all I've heard. TIA!

Thanks! Glad to see your trip coming up too, and thanks for the plan. I really know nothing, and have not had any time to research, so it looks like WWOHP is first, and then the big rides too like you! Might save the wet ones until later in the afternoon though. This chik doesn't do soggy well!
