Need 1 day ticket--best price?

Through Disney's site it is $76 for std ticket/$101 for hopper. Is a hopper worth it for one day? Our kids are 10, 12 & 15, so we can cover alot in one day. CRAZY lot of money for one day (used to $250 for a week at DisneyWorld...I know, it it cheaper the more days you buy...)
Just figured someone might know a better way to go! THANKS!

I'm not a Socal local but sometimes you can get cheap short tickets at a Safeway or Ralphs.


I'm not so sure you will want a hopper, what day are you going? Somtimes the hours are short in the offseason. Somtimes DL opens or closes and hour before and after DCA and can be really nice to hop. DL open -->DCA open, DCA close--> DL close.


I hate to say it since you've been to WDW a lot of DCA is like DHS, but Paradise Pier is my favorite "land" of Disney and I'd hate for you to not see it. But DCA only has 4-5 rides for your age group that you can't find at WDW. So it might not be a must to ride Soaring, TSMM or ToT "the same rides" while there and if you don't have a lot of time.

In that case I probably would hop. Friday and Saturday have the longer hours. However if you don't do the Halloween party, which cost extra. DL will close in the evening and DCA will be open a few hours more.

Also if you do two days the difference for hoppers is less than the one day price.

Also just so you know, you get a discount buying electronic tickets from Disneyland.com that you take right to the turnstyles, versus buying one at the ticketbooths.
