Nearly 2 years as owners, and finally stayed at SSR

We've been owners since early 2005...bought 200 points at SSR, then in the summer of 2005, added another 120 with one of their promotions.

We stayed at Beach Club in 5/05, Boardwalk in 09/05, Hilton Head in 10/05, Went on the DCL 7 night Eastern in 01/06, Boardwalk in 04/06 and finally went to Saratoga Springs for the first time last week (just 1 night).

We loved it. Of course, BWV and BCV are great for their location near Epcot and MGM, but we got a great room, with a beautiful view, and a quick walk or boat ride over to Downtown Disney, Pleasure Island, etc.

We liked it so much, that we are planning on booking for New Years next year.

We stayed in the "Paddock" buildings....we had a view overlooking the water.

It was only a studio, and next time we will do a 1 BR...but for one night, it was perfect.

WELCOME HOME, we bought SSR in 04 and saw the potential it was going to have. You read a lot about BCV & BWV, we like both but I think SSR is nice to get away from the crowds once in a while. Now that SSR is finishing you read more good threads about it.

I'm glad you enjoyed it! I stayed twice recently-Nov 26-29 and Dec 20-23 and had two wonderful visits. I know people say that it's too far out, but I like the distance. It's relaxing. I can't wait to go back in May!!

We just had our first stay 'Home" as well. We fell in love with the place. Even liked it better than the awesome BW view we had last trip. We're in the planning stages for next year's trip and my family wants to stay at SSR again instead of trying something new.

We joined in 2003 before SSR was even built and we won't be staying there until 2008 at the earliest.

We have used our points at DL and at WDW at both OKW and BCV. Not sure what we will be doing with this years points yet - possibly banking for use in 2008.

We have wandered around SSR, dined at the counter service and swum in the pool but we are waiting until its finished before we stay

You know how each resort has it's "prime time" (December at VWL, F&W at BCV & BWV)? I bet New Years at SSR is going to be like that.

oooooooooooh you know the thought of watching fireworks at SSR sounds AWESOME....hmmmm
