This will be our first time camping at WDW with our dogs. I like to find the nearest veterinarian when we travel just in case...

Anyone know?

Also, I guess it would be a good idea to know where the nearest ER is too (for people). Anyone?

Thanks!!!

can't help with the vet-sorry, but there is a hospital in Celebration. Are you just looking for an ER in case of any old emergency or do you have someone with specific needs/ailments?

No specific needs -- just figured since I was asking for the nearest dr. for my dogs I would ask for a people hospital, too:)

Thanks.

You might call the kennel at Fort Wilderness. One time when we were down there our dog got stung by a bee. They gave use a list of Vets that were close by. My dog was fine the bee bothered me more then her.

For the humans-There are a couple of those immediate-care type places nearby also, and if I am not mistaken, your resort should be able to help you find their locations. I would advise you to look at your health insurance policy and see where they will ALLOW you to seek treatment in the Orlando area if,God-forbid you should become ill or get injured.

We traveled with our older dog one year, she was 16. So this was a concern for us too. While we did not need the vets, we made sure we had the numbers ahead of time just in case. This was quite a few years ago but I do believe that we requested them from guest relations at the Fort. It was a good trip for all.
