How much would it cost to take a cab to a local grocery or a walmart from CR? I know there are walmart's close by and other types of grocery stores. I'm looking for some simple snake items for breakfast and other items.

How big is the re-fridge in the CR rooms?

Just call WeGoShop and have what you want delivered. The fee is waaaay cheaper than a cab and they will deliver it to your hotel room. They will shop at whatever store you want them to shop at, or multiple stores. We use them every time we go, sometimes twice if we are staying for a couple of weeks.

Or Garden Grocer, although I read they no longer will deliver beer or wine, but their delivery charge is $12 for min. $40 order and free if order over $200.

I think both places had a temporary surcharge due to gas prices and this may or may not still be in effect. We've used GG twice and service was good

Not familiar with this "CR" lingo, can't connect it to a resort. But, if you're talking about anywhere in WDW, I wouldn't imagine too much because there is a supermarket (Goodings) right outside the entrance to the little drive that takes you to Downtown Disney. If you're not talking about this, I apologize for having no idea what you're referring to.

Contemporary Resort is quite a hoof from Goodings. About 7.5 miles? I wouldn't take a cab there and back myself. Seems like such a waste when you can get whatever you want delivered for less.

Yet another option is to take a bus to DD and walk from DD to Goodings which isn't far. Just make sure that if you're getting anything perishable, use an insulated bag, especially now, it's going to be a hot summer.

We used Garden Grocer for our last visit to CR in Jan. The service is excelent and would highly recommend it. You don't even need to be at the resort for the delivery, so it saves you time too. (ours was delivered while we were still at the airport) They deliver the package to the resorts bell services. Bell services will refrigerate perishishables and deliver the package to your room when you arrive. Just call or ask at the bell services desk when you arrive My deliver charge was $12 total.

If you're staying in a regular room at the CR, it's a small fridge with no freezer section. I would suggest purchasing two 1/2 gal milks instead of one full gallon.

now has beer and wine coolers available for deliver. We have it ordered for our arrival this Sunday. Just have to fax them a copy of drivers license to show proof of age. Cost me $1 to fax it from a local Staples and worth it compared to paying resort prices for beer to enjoy on your balcony

Garden Grocer was excellent to deal with on our last trip and I have heard good things about WeGoShop as well.
