Well with the number of people in your party.. assuming they are all older than 3.. you would need to rooms as the occupancy level is for 5 people only, plus an infant.. but that would be awfully crowded. There are a lot of great reviews in the resort forum.. I would check there first

LoL I made a mistake it was suppose to be 3 children not 4 LoL so yes total of 5 of us, I will check out that foum.
Thanks

We stayed there in 98 when it was Dixie Landings it was a very beautiful resort but it felt like I was visiting my grandparents at the retirement home. Way to quiet and to many old people. We have not gone back since. It felt like a lesser version of Old Key West.

for a family of 5, if you don't want to book 2 rooms, your options are pretty limited - POR (w. sm. trundle), ASM family suite, a deluxe, a DVC, or a FW cabin

We stayed here for our honeymoon and LOVED it! I thought it was beautiful and peaceful. The quiet pools are lovely. The foodcourt had a nice selection and we loved that there was a sit down when we felt like something a little different. There is a nice playground that was always full of kids and the main pool always looked like a good time (we stuck with the quiet). The boat ride to DTD is something a little different and fun.

We liked this resort so much we went back with my parents within 10 months of our honeymoon.

Our family of five (me, DW, DD10, dd8, ds5) have stayed at POR on two occassions in the past two years. We've only stayed two nights at a time as we also have a timeshare off site. In my humble view all value and moderate rooms at WDW are small and after having stayed in a two bedroom condo a hotel room with 3 kids seems rather cramped. Having said that POR is a good option for 5 if you want to stay onsite.

It is reasonalbly priced and the trundle bed is a good option for a young child. It isn't big enough for an adult or a teen but is perfect for the 10 and under group.

We are a family of five and were there in Feb of this year. It is a beautiful resort. It was peaceful, lots of trees. We met lots of families there from Canada. Here is our trip report.

We stayed at FQ last year and walked up to RS often. It is truly a lovely resort! I loved boating on the river. S

We are going in a few weeks to POR. I have a family of 5 as well. We loved it last year and are staying at same place again. I recommend bldg closest to the main bldg.. 14 I believe. You can walk through the parking lot to buses, 2 mins to the main bldg and 3 mins to the large pool and riverboats. Depending on when in October you go and for how long.... you might get free dining if offered next year at same time. This year it ended Sept 22, but as long as you book on the last day of promo, you get it for as long as you stay. We booked Sept 22nd and are staying for 2 weeks and get the free dining for entire trip.

We stayed as a family of 5 and loved it! What a great resort, everything that you need is right there. The grounds are beautiful, the pool is great, you even have the fishing hole. Boatwright's Restaurant is great too! As a family of 5, that is the most economical way to go.

We stayed as a family of five two years ago and thought it was a great resort so much so we are going back to POR in October. We tried CBR last fall and while a nice resort we prefer POR. The trundle bed is only 2 inches shorter than a single mattress and is the same width. It is at floor level though. DD17 slept on it the whole time with no complaints

Thank you everyone for your information and those who put your web pages are amazing, I think when we can get back down this will be a great place to stay and it looks like something my kids would love to stay.
Again thanks for all that info
