I am a new member here to disboards. I noticed the posts and just showed up today at the mall. I was not able to stay the entire time, as I had to take care of my young man's needs and when I returned to the area all had split to somewhere. For the time I was there I was glad to meet everyone.

I hope to become more familiar with things soon.

Had a nice time yesterday. Enjoyed meeting all of you. Now I have faces for names.

Sorry we couldn't stay longer, but we had previous plans and yesterday was a spur of the moment thing. We live in Strongsville, so it was just going to the mall for us.

I was thinking about making it to the DISmeet at Towncrier's in May, but I remembered, we will be in Disney then.

Lily. I'm sorry we lost you in the crowd. We usually hang out in front of the Disney Store just long enough to be disappointed by the lack of merchandise, then we relocate to the food court. I'm sorry that we didn't make that clear to you. You were by no means busting in on anything. I would have loved to hear more about your cruise. And I would REALLY love to see all those neat gifts that you got on the DVC member's cruise.

A larger group is planning to attend Cedar Point a couple of times this summer. RiddleCON will be on the weekend of August 1st and is being hosted by oldkicker (aka Bernie). There are close to 100 people signed up to attend.

And then there is our 3rd annual Memorial Day DISmeet and cookout at our home on Sunday May 25th. We provide all the food (hamburgers, hot dogs, soft drinks) and spend the day talking about all things Disney. This year we have a special treat. Barry Hom made a video of nearly all the events of DIScon 2002 and we are pleased to have been selected to be the very first DIS event where this video will be screened. Please stop by if you can and spend the day. I promise that we won't all disappear this time. I mentioned Cedar Point because a few of us will be there on Friday evening and all day Saturday prior to the picnic.

It was great to meet you Saturday, if only briefly. Next time I promise that we'll post the protocol of our NE Ohio DISmeets on the boards so that we don't leave anyone stranded.

As this was my first encounter with the system I was just not sure of how things work. I appreciate your invitation.
I spoke with my husband (is that DH here? New language to learn too!) about the events you mentioned and he is interested--especially as he is our resident Disney nut!
I have marked our calendar for the 25th and I expect Cedar Point is also a consideration for us if we are able.

There certainly seems to be many opportunities! DisCon, RiddleCon, NE Ohio DISmeets…what does it all mean? I am fascinated about this New World.

I look forward to discovering more.
