If so--What did you think? We are considering skipping Disney in 2005 (don't worry, we are going this December 2004:D ) and doing a cruise out of New York.

Anyone do this? How were the kid programs?

TIA,
Hentob

I would love to know also. I checked into it but I would like to know someone's experiences first. What really got me interested was the freestyle dining. Plus it would be nice to not have t fly anywhere and just take a cab down to the pier!! :D

I havent sailed NCL yet, but we are going Boston to Bermuda on the Majesty in August. I agree, the thought of just a 20 minute ride to the port is awesome!
My parents have sailed NCL a bunch of times and my sister and her family once. They really enjoy it.

Bumping to see if anyone else has been on this cruise........

There was a thread recently on the cruise bord I believe, about NCL. Maybe if you search over there you wil get more info? :D

I have taken several NCl cruises (Dreamward, Seaward, Winward and the Norway-all before they were refurbished and had the name changes). Plus, I've done DCL once. I've always loved DCL ships. You will notice a big difference in the size of the cabins and the people who actually work on the ship. I can say that i do prefer DCL over NCL, but that doesn't mean that NCL was good, too. The price was great, the convience of driving to the port (I too went to Bermuda out ot NY) and the food was great (especially the midnight buffets). I know that lots of people think that to cruise anything other than DCL is a an atrocity, but it really is a nice cruise line. I guess you could say that it's like the difference between a Volvo and a Toyota-both are good dependable cars with one going a little above the norm.
