NCIS and Mark Harmon

Does anyone know if Mark Harmon is really "retired as Gibbs on NCIS? The last show of the season showed him leaving and tonights show mentions the team learning to work without him. Sorry, it's a great cast, but Mark Harmon is the glue and without him I'll have to find something else to do on Tuesday nights. He really flips my trigger!

I have heard that Gibbs will definitely be back. Gibbs *is* NCIS!

Ausiello: Well, look at that — you just answered your own question! Loyalty to a former team member in distress will pry Gibbs out of his self-imposed retirement. In the season-opener, Ziva (Cote de Pablo) is accused of being a spy. Apparently, the evidence is so compelling, even her fellow special agents waffle. The only one who believes her — unconditionally — is Gibbs, who owes his life to her. (You'll recall that Ziva shot and killed her brother only seconds before he was going to off Gibbs.)

During the summer one of the TV Entertainment Shows reporter interviewed Mark Harmon on the Red Carpet and commented on how much she liked his longer hair style. Mark replied, "Well enjoy it now because it won't be like this very much longer."

I took his remarks to mean that the first one or two shows of this season will show Gibbs as a civilian, hence the longer hair and that he would soon be returning to run the NCIS Division, complete with Marine haircut.
