NBC Overlay Lovers !

Ay that's right!!!

I found a youtube of it too here..

Man, so crazy, how do those Disney chefs do that?

:confused3 Beats me.

I watched that vid for a sec and got chills down my spine !! How exciting !?!?! I didn't want to see all of it because I want to preserve the ride until I get there :)

So am I reading this right that HM is less "scary" with the overlay? I normally wouldn't take my kids on it (when we go they will be 7, 6 & 4 - but they are kind of scaredy-cats), mainly because of the gory stuff (when you look up in the stretching room - although I could tell them not to look up - and the headless stuff). Dh and I rode the ride when we managed to sneak over there without kids one time with the NBC overlay - but I really don't remember it and wasn't thinking about if it would be appropriate for my kids at the time. Also - it will still be the NBC overlay at Christmas time, right?

I think it is less scary, but it depends on how skiddish your kids are and how old they are. They do keep the overlay for Christmas as well !! I say go for it ;)

tonaly, my daughter was 6 the first time she finally agreed to ride HM holiday. At first she hid her head but by the time we got off she wasn't hiding anymore. As soon as we exited she wanted to ride again. She did still hide in the stretching room but after repeated rides she even got over doing that.

Last year we went when it did not have the overlay. We all pretty much agree that the overlay made it more fun and definitely less scary, simply because there is just so much to see and perky music going on all through the ride. You are so busy looking and listening that you don't tend to focus too much on being afraid. She is 8 now and pretty much still a scardy cat but HM holiday is now one of her favorite rides.

Our family is not really much into scary stuff. We don't observe Halloween and we generally tend to stay away from stories and movies that have ghosts and goblins and other such material. However, I do have to say that HM doesn't have any content that we would consider "gory". Disney did a tasteful job which we consider "family friendly" and does not even begin to compare with a lot of the stuff you can find out there today.
